Ok, I got it

In 1972 I was very keen on music. I was doing disco's in the area and then got to hear about a local hospital radio.
It was based at singleton hospital and broadcast to 6 local hospitals, those being.
Cefn Coed, Hill House, Mountpleasant, Garngoch, Gorseinon and of course Singleton Hospital. I paid a visit a few times.
Then during 1973 I joined the service.
It wasn't long before after training and the usual required regular visits to the wards to collect requests I finally got to do my own show.

Request line was the start, this ran every night from 7pm til 10pm these would be the requests collected that evening from the wards and played for the patients individually.

After some time I finally got my own show.
WARD TO WARD.
Every Sunday between 1pm and 5pm
Along with my trusty side kick Chris Waters and a number of helpers one of whom is now my wife "Wendy Sullivan" as was.
We would take the radio mic to the wards and talk to patients live on the radio and play them there requests after a chat.
Oh did we drop some clangers on that show, but that's another story.
Should you find yourself or a relative in Singleton Hospital.
Don't forget to check out my programme.
Tuesdays 7pm - 9-30pm
Give me a call on the show on 01792 285205

Hospital Radio relies on donations to keep it running. So we would resort to anything to raise the the money.

As you can see.
MIND YOU WE KNEW HOW TO PARTY.
We also had some fantastic publicity.
